About This Major

 

The Department of Autism Assessment and Diagnosis focuses on equipping students with several essential skills, including: mastering assessment and diagnostic methods and specialized scales for individuals with disabilities; diagnosing and classifying disability categories; and developing data-collection tools, such as case study forms and checklists regarding the characteristics of children with autism. The department also examines how families interact with children with disabilities, explores the importance of social inclusion within the local community, addresses appropriate interaction techniques, and fosters an understanding of the characteristics of children with autism across all aspects of personality. Furthermore, it aims to familiarize students with instructional practices based on educational and pedagogical plans.

The Department of Autism Assessment and Diagnosis is dedicated to preparing qualified specialists in the fields of autism, diagnosis, and the development of assessment tools for students with autism and special needs. It equips them with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge regarding assessment and diagnostic methods, as well as the creation of case study models tailored to the characteristics of children with autism. Furthermore, the department focuses on developing students' skills in communication, problem-solving, and intervention to meet the needs of the community.
